| Shining A Spotlight On Shiner |
 Hello everybody. My name is Shiner, and I am a 3 year old greyhound girl. I'm a little confused how I got here since I was supposed to be a hunter, but I guess I was bad at it and got fired. Then I was a pet, but I was kept outside all the time. I'm not sure why, but I got fired as an outside pet too.Now I am in a foster home and for the first time I am learning what it is like to be loved. I think I like it, but all the changes are a little scary. I stand on the deck and just look inside at my foster family, trying to find the courage to come in and join them, but I'm just not quite brave enough yet. I love playing (outside!) and love my foster family, especially the kids. I am a smart girl and get along well with other dogs (but not cats.) I am fine alone for 8 or 9 hours and haven't had any housebreaking issues. (Probably mostly because I am outside a lot.) I am nervous around men, but I am lucky to have a loving foster dad who is helping me learn to trust again. I like my crate and sometimes go in there when I am a little stressed out. I'd love to find a forever home with someone who is patient and can help me come out of my shell. I'm just sure that when I find a place in your home, I will also find a place in your heart. |
