Update

Colorado Greyhound Adoption is currently in need of additional foster families, especially households without cats.  There are several dogs that have been waiting for months to enter our program, simply because we do not have enough cat-free foster homes.

If you are interested in possibly helping out, please read more about our foster program or e-mail our This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Image

Our 6th Annual Extreme Bowling for Greyhounds will be on Sunday, March 30, 2008. Check-in will start at 11:15, and the bowling will start at noon.  It will be held at the AMF Belleview Lanes in Englewood.

Cost: $20 for adults/$13 for kids, covers 3 games of bowling, shoe rental and lunch.

NOTE: Online Pre-registration has ended, but folks are still welcome to come out to join in the festivities.

You can view pictures from last year's event to see how much fun everybody can expect!

Help spread the word by downloading the flyer (in Adobe PDF or Word DOC format) and post them at your office, church, gym, library, or favorite coffee shop -- anywhere you can!  The hounds will be very GREY-tful for it!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will there really be greyhounds inside the bowling alley?
A. Yes!  AMF Belleview Lanes makes an exception for this day only.  Participants are welcome to bring their well-behaved greyhounds along.  Bring along their bedding so they have somewhere to take their afternoon siesta.  If your greyhound has a tendancy to mark, please bring a belly band.

Q. What about my non-greyhound?  Can I bring them as well?
A. Please leave your other dogs at home, as this day is all about the greyhounds.  Also, some greyhounds do not respond well to small dogs, so we want to minimize any potential confrontations.

Q. A few of my friends are registering separately, but want to bowl together.  Can we request to be placed on the same lane?
A. Yes!  Simply send an e-mail to our coordinator, Kathie Buckley ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with the names of individuals in your party.  We can fit up to 5 people per lane.

Q. I don't bowl. Can I still come for lunch and join in the fun?
A. Sure!  Lunch-Only admission is only $8.

Q. What's for lunch?
A. This year, we're planning an expanded lunch menu.  (Not just pizza this year!)  The menu is still being finalized, but we know that italian sausages are going to be one of the items.

Q. Will alcohol be available?
A. The bowling alley will be serving alcohol, but it is not included in the price of admission or lunch.  (Just remember to be responsible!)
